Football March in aid of Prostate Cancer UK
Alan Parkhurst, our Logistics & Office Manager, took part in a Football March on September 23rd in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Along with hundreds of fellow football fans, Alan walked a total of 26.2 miles, starting at Portsmouth FC and finishing at Southampton FC! Alan smashed his target of £390, by raising a total of £785; we were proud to support him in his efforts by donating £200 to such a worthy cause.

Speaking about the event, Alan said, "I have never done anything like this before and when I signed up, everyone had doubts (including myself) if I would go through with it. I have to say it was an amazing experience, and I met some amazing people. Seeing people of all ages taking part and going through various pain barriers to complete the 26.2 mile walk meant a massive team effort to support and push everyone to achieve. A massive thank you for all the support – there’s still time to donate should you wish."

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men from dying from prostate cancer. By shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, they hope to stop prostate cancer from being a killer.
