Snowdonia trek June 2024

Snowdonia for Science Trek

Alan Parkhurst (Logistics & Office Manager) has once again laced up his walking boots and completed the 'Snowdonia for Science' annual event in aid of Prostate Cancer Research. Alan travelled to the beautiful Welsh mountains to take on the multi-peak trek. An epic route involving 21km of trekking with over 1,500m of total ascent. Summiting five different peaks with the summit of Snowdonia being the pinnacle, Alan raised over £400 for Prostate Cancer Research. If you would like to help raise even more money you can donate to his Just Giving Page below.

Matalan donate truck loads to Jersey Hospice Care

Matalan Jersey has once again teamed up with Jersey Hospice Care and donated TWO truckloads of clothes for the renowned local charity. The donations included a variety of items including; baby clothing, womenswear and items for every season. These clothes will be sold in the Jersey Hospice Care charity stores with all proceeds going towards funding the amazing work they do.

Fetes

It's the start of Fete season, this month has brought us St John's Church and Beaulieu Convent School fetes. We filled up Beaulieu's goody bags with 150 bags of sweets; name something kids love more! St John's Church received a delicious hamper from M&S to go towards the fete's raffle. Both these events are crucial as they provide money for great causes not lease entertainment and camaraderie for the community.

Raffle prizes

June has been filled with raffles. Hotel Chocolat donated chocolates to the Women's Institute's chocolate bingo raffle (sounds scrumptious). They also gave out goodies to MND Association Jersey for their event to raise money for beds and home adaption for those who need it. Morrisons also helped out with champagne for the fundraiser. Iceland also gave champagne to the youth clubs raffle. We hope everyone who attended these events had fun and won loads of goodies. All the money raised at these raffles goes to great causes and it's crucial these are supported with as many prizes as possible to get more people to purchase tickets.
