Richards Re-opening
Today, Thursday 16th June 2022, marks the re-opening of our newly refurbished Richards Newsagents & Post Office in Alderney.
Since acquiring the store in February, we have been hard at work to expand current ranges as well as updating the store with a more modern look and feel. We have new grocery and household ranges as well as lots of extended product lines. You can also find ice creams and lollies, newspapers and magazines plus souvenirs and a large selection of greetings cards, wrap and bags as well as toys.

We’ve done a wide range of work to fully refresh the store and also extended the store's offering to now include a range of groceries, toiletries and household whist also extending already existing ranges such as; greetings cards, gifts, toys, party, confectionery and soft drinks."
Open Day – what’s going on?
William Tate, Alderney President, officially opened the store at 8.30am for its first customers to enjoy. There’s a raffle running all day with a selection of prizes to be won.
