SandpiperCI support the Pink Ladies Sunset Walk 2021

Their key fundraiser is the biannual Sunset Coastal Walk, was led by Dr. Nicola Brink to raise awareness of the value of early detection and screening.

Sandpiper has long been a Pink Ladies supporter, and this year is no exception with our Iceland, Checkers Express, and Morrisons Daily Guernsey stores assisting in the distribution of registration forms.

Karen Leach said: “The charity was set up to support local women affected by breast cancer and it is now more important than ever as the pandemic has affected the health and well being of many islanders including those going through cancer treatment.”

Despite the rain on the day, the Pink Ladies saw a turn out of over 1500 entries and raised well over £30,000 with more sponsorship still coming in!
